Angela Z. Dailey
Founder & Partner

Before founding our firm in 1989, Angela Dailey (left side photo) served for 16 years as Senior Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of Drexel Burnham Lambert. During her time at Drexel, she was in charge of the investment bank’s communications, including advertising, press relations, employee communications, and sales promotion. Her advertising and employee communications programs were nationally recognized for being exceptionally innovative and effective.

Angela has conducted seminars on crisis management for Business Week’s Executive Seminar Series. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Women Investing in Securities and Education (WISE) and has served on the Boards of Directors of the YMCA City of New York, the Financial Women’s Association, and the Drexel Burnham Foundation. She was elected to the YMCA’s Academy of Women Achievers and was a director of the Academy. She is also the founding chairman of the Securities Industry Association’s Public Information Committee. Angela is a graduate of Trinity College in Washington, D.C.

Elizabeth Tower Powell

Elizabeth Powell (right side photo) joined our firm in 2004 and offers more than 25 years of experience in financial public relations and marketing communications. She has also managed crisis situations involving junk bonds, Orange County, and the mutual fund industry.

From 1995 to 2003, a crucial growth period for the mutual fund industry, Elizabeth directed public relations at the industry’s national trade association, the Investment Company Institute, in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, she was responsible for public relations and marketing communications at Ambac and CapMac (now MBIA) in New York. Earlier in her career, at Drexel Burnham Lambert, she established the first in-house advertising agency on Wall Street.

Elizabeth is a member of the Financial Women’s Association of New York, twice chaired the Industry Affairs Committee of the Association of Financial Guaranty Insurers, and was a director of the Financial Communications Society of New York. She serves on the Endowment Committee of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Georgetown and is a past chair of the Board of Directors of the River School in Washington, D.C. Elizabeth is a graduate of Vassar College.

Patrice Kozlowski

Patrice Kozlowski joined our firm as partner after heading Corporate Communications for The Dreyfus Corporation, a BNY Mellon company, for 19 years.  As Senior Vice President and Chief Company Spokesperson for one of the nation’s leading asset management and distribution firms, she was a member of Dreyfus’ Executive Committee, responsible for executive, internal and external communications, media relations and crisis communications.  She was also appointed to the Executive Committee of WIN, BNY Mellon’s largest affinity group, and co-led its Marketing and Communications function.

Patrice has more than 25 years of experience in financial services public relations with specialized expertise in the mutual fund industry and financial services crisis communications.  Prior to joining Dreyfus, Patrice was with Manning, Selvage & Lee, managing the corporate and financial public relations efforts for a division representing approximately one-third of the New York office's revenue. She also developed and managed investor and financial public relations programs for NYSE-listed companies while with Georgeson & Company, Inc. She began her career as a communications specialist with Philadelphia Life Insurance Company.

Creator of Dreyfus’ partnership with Children of Bellevue Hospital’s “Reach Out and Read” program, Patrice served on the national board of directors of “Reach Out and Read,” an organization that integrates reading into pediatric care for underprivileged children.  She was a member of the Investment Company Institute Public Information Committee and was selected to serve on its Senior Public Relations Task Force.  Patrice received her B.A. in journalism from Temple University and is a recipient of the prestigious Lew Klein Alumni in the Media Award honoring alumni who have distinguished themselves in the fields of communications and theater and are inducted into the School’s Hall of Fame.

Melinda Staab

Melinda Staab has worked for more than a decade in the financial services industry developing and implementing successful marketing and public relations campaigns for multi-billion dollar organizations. She brings work experience on both the client and agency sides of the public relations business to her role serving clients at DAI Partners.

Prior to joining DAI in 2010, Melinda was Public Relations Manager, Rydex Investments and Vice President at a financial services public relations agency. Melinda’s experience working on the client and agency side allows her to collaborate effectively with clients to achieve their public relations objectives and further their sales and marketing goals.

Melinda graduated from Towson University, with a BS in Finance and a BS in Psychology. She serves on the Board of the Financial Planning Association of San Diego as the Director of Public Relations.

Kate Ennis
Senior Account Executive

Kate Ennis is a financial services communications professional with nearly 20 years experience in public relations, marketing, public affairs and journalism. She has held senior level positions in corporate communications and professional associations in Washington, DC, and New York. She is the former Director of Communications at the Financial Services Roundtable, a trade association representing the largest 100 integrated financial services companies, and Director of Public Information at the Investment Company Institute (ICI), the professional association for the mutual fund industry.

Kate was the lead consultant on the Public Relations Association of America (PRSA) award-winning campaign to market electronic US savings bonds.

Before her career in public relations, she was News Manager and Planning Editor at CNBC, where she helped produce coverage for major financial news, including the Master Tobacco Settlement Agreement and Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of ABC.

Chris Wloszczynas
Senior Account Executive

Chris Wloszczyna has been involved in disseminating financial information for more than 30 years – as a public relations professional and as a journalist.

Before joining DAI Partners, Chris was director of public relations for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in Washington, DC. Prior to that, Chris was director of public communications at the Investment Company Institute (ICI), the national association of the mutual fund industry.

Before he transitioned to media relations, he spent 11 years at USA Today’s business section, working in a variety of roles from copy editing to covering the mutual fund industry and personal finance.

Chris (who pronounces his last name was-IN-uh) is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University.

Arlene Hershman
Press Strategist

Arlene Hershman, former Editor in Chief of Dun’s Business Month magazine, is a journalist and public relations professional who writes about business and produces business promotional materials.  As a freelance journalist, she has written articles for a range of publications including Business Week, Fortune and Global Finance about economics, investing and stock markets in the U.S. and other countries.  As a marketer, she has written promotional materials for JP Morgan mutual funds, Scottish Widows, Furman Selz and Brown Brothers Harriman.  She also conducts media training sessions for executives.   From 1989 to 1995, Ms. Hershman produced a seminar for public relations executives on dealing successfully with the business media.

Ms. Hershman joined the staff of Dun’s Review, (the former name of Business Month) in 1967, becoming the magazine’s Assistant Managing Editor in 1980. She was named Editor in 1984.  Business Month had a circulation of more than 300,000 senior executives of companies with more than $50 million in sales.

As a writer for Dun’s, Ms. Hershman covered Wall Street, economics, corporate finance and business management as well as writing a monthly column on investing.  She was responsible for many years for the magazine’s annual selection of the Five Best-Managed Companies.

Ms. Hershman holds a Bachelors degree in comparative literature from the University of Wisconsin.  She pursued graduate study in the same subject at the University of California at Berkeley.
