Tearing Down the Pink Wall Tackles Impact Investing

New York, NY – May 20, 2019 --  Tearing Down the Pink Wall showcases the professional views and life experiences of accomplished women in financial services. Companies and organizations committed to gender diversity participate in the events to highlight their involvement and to encourage women to become interested and involved in the field.

The seventh Tearing Down the Pink Wall media event in New York today focused on impact investing and was a resounding success. More than 30 journalists from national and trade media accepted our invitation to attend and the press coverage our speakers received included this video and this article.

A number of high profile women from prestigious firms including Calvert, Causeway Capital, Eaton Vance, Evercore, Glenmede, Guggenheim, Morgan Stanley, PAAMCO, PIMCO, and Wells Fargo Asset Management have participated in our media and community events. The media events are a forum for journalists to hear leading women discuss timely topics and their successful career paths in the industry. Community events, held in academic settings, give the general public access to the same timely topics.

Our latest event featured three leaders who brought unique perspectives to the impact investing discussion.  Elyse Cherry, CEO of Blue Hub Capital, spoke about how to invest directly in low-income communities; Laura LaRosa, Executive VP, Glenmede explained why wealthy families are increasingly investing based on their values; and Jessica Milano, Director of ESG Research at Calvert Research and Management, focused on the best ways to identify impact investment opportunities.

Future community and media events will be announced soon.
